Sunday Snippets is intended to be a look back at the previous week in the genealogy/family history side of my life.
It has now been almost one month since I transferred Tracking Down The Family over to Substack. I’m not sorry about the decison, as it feels like the perfect space for me. In many ways, I feel that I have found my tribe here.
Even though it’s now one month since the move, I’m still working on learning all that I can about Substack, and setting up my newsletter exactly as I’d like it to be.
Imported Posts
During the past week I imported twelve posts over from the previous Wordpress site. These imported posts were my 52 Ancestors in 52 weeks series. As it’s a 52 week series, and I’m still adding to them, I would like to keep them all together. I decided not to send email newsletters for each imported post as I didn’t want to wear out my welcome with my subscribers. There is a link at the bottom of this newsletter, to each imported post.
Remembrance
This week I published the first post in my new Remembrance series. These posts will remember ancestors on the date of their death. The first post was to remember my great great grandmother, Ellen Virginia Lowe
All About That Place
All About That Place 2024 is less than two weeks away now. ProjectKin put out the call on Substack for writers to submit stories about their One Place Study. I couldn’t resist writing a few words about Haverfordwest.
My article was published in the Projectkin Community Forum on Substack. I would recommend checking the forum out, as it is a wonderful community for genealogists and family historians.
Online Meeting
This week I had two online meetings.
