Announcing: New Substack Live Series Coming Soon
Introducing Behind The Publication
I am very excited to share that I will be soon launching a new monthly Substack Live interview series, here at Tracking Down The Family. This new monthly event is called Behind The Publication.
The idea for this series came about because of my love of reading family history stories. I often find myself wanting to know more about the publication, perhaps how it came into being, or more about the research that has been done so the stories could be told. I thought that if this was something I was interested in, then perhaps others would also be interested.
Each month, I will introduce a guest family history writer of a Substack publication or a publication on another platform. This series is intended to be completely platform independant. We will chat casually about their publication, their experience of researching their family history, and any other direction that the conversation takes.
I have noticed that family history writers tend to have quite a diverse range of interests. My plan is that Behind The Publication will give them the space to share and discuss their world of writing and family history.
Please note, that there is no intention for this event to delve into private lives at all. Think of it as a friendly chat between genealogists and family historians, about their favourite topic.
My first guest will be Carole McCulloch of NextGenGenealogy. Carole is a great example of a family history writer who has a very wide range of interests and skills, so I am very much looking forward to our chat
This is a free event on Substack Live, with the opportunity to interact in the chat. Pop the date in your calendar, so you don’t miss it, as Carole and I would love you to come along, and join us for this first event.
All event details including time zone details can be found on the Projectkin calendar
There is no need to register but you can join us with the following link: open.substack.com/live-stream/113970
All Behind The Publication recordings will be available here on Tracking Down The Family and on my YouTube Channel @TrackingDownTheFamily.

Looking forward to chatting to Jennifer about the behind the scenes of my Substack presence, among other things!
Looking forward to learning more about other writers. Do you plan for it to always be in the same time slot? Monthly or more often? ❤️
