George Dalcam is my partner’s 3rd great uncle. I have only just begun to research this line, so my information so far is quite scant.
George Dalcam was born at St. Helier, Jersey, to parents Nathaniel Dalcam and Ann Hammond. In 1844, he married Anne Le Couteur at St. Helier.
George and Ann came to Australia in 1861, and lived in Victoria for about three years, before settling at Hindmarsh, South Australia.
George Dalcam died at Hindmarsh, South Australia, on August 16 1907 at the age of 85 years. He was buried at Cheltenham Cemetery, South Australia. 1
