I feel like I have gotten to know Thomas Waters quite well through your earlier posts, Jennifer, so it is interesting to hear more about where he came from and about others who lived there. I was at Biggleswade last May. I wonder if I travelled anywhere near Newton Bury Farm getting there?
I would say if you were at Biggleswade you would have been only about 5ks from Newton Bury Farm. There are family connections with Biggleswade through Thomas' brothers. I'm sure they will eventually appear here.
My reason for travelling to Biggleswade was to meet my half brother for the first time. We share an American biological father and we discovered each other via MyHeritage DNA matching. It was quite an exciting day so I was not particularly cognizant of the surrounding countryside at the time.
Another fascinating story about your family. I enjoy seeing all the historical connections.

It was interesting to note that Newton Bury Farm was a moated site. I went looking at this reference you gave: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1010113?section=official-list-entry This site is new to me, but I will now look further into it.
